The C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid is the Brand's first plug-in hybrid model. It constitutes the first model of its "Low Emission Vehicles" offensive, which will lead until 2025 where it will have a 100% electrified range. The C5 Aircross Hybrid Plug-In combines all the advantages of 100% electric driving on everyday journeys, with the versatility and autonomy provided by its thermal engine for longer journeys.


The C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid combines a PureTech 180 S&S gasoline engine (1.6l and 180 hp) with an 80 kW electric motor incorporated between the combustion engine and the gearbox. The electric motor is equipped with a high voltage 200V lithium-ion battery with 13.2 kWh. With CO2 emissions (currently in the certification process) from 32 gr/km. The C5 Aircross Hybrid Plug-In can operate in electric mode up to speeds of 135 km/h and a range of 55 km on the WLTP cycle *.
The EAT8 gearbox evolves with the optimization of gear changes, reinforcing fluidity and driving flexibility with the addition of Brake mode with amplified regenerative braking.

Interior

In a generously sized passenger compartment, the Citroën C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid SUV is equipped with the following interfaces:

  • A customizable 12.3-inch instrument panel to display all information related to hybrid mode: power meter, range in electric and petrol mode, charging time and speed, driving modes,
  • An 8-inch touch screen allows access to driving information such as energy flow management or consumption statistics,
  • A selector to choose your driving mode: ELECTRIC, HYBRID or SPORT,
  • An electrochromic interior rear-view mirror with a driving indicator in electric mode: an LED lights up to identify driving in this mode.
