The Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid hits the market later this year and offers a range of 67.6 kilometers in electric mode, the highest among plug-in hybrids. The model is equipped with a 1.5 liter Atkinson cycle engine, which is used to generate electricity for the 182 hp and 32 kgfm electric propeller; also powered by batteries and 17 kWh rechargeable in 2.5 hours from a 240 volt outlet.
The Honda Clarity is Honda's best plug-in hybrid. It gives drivers the best of both worlds, combining the efficiency of an electric motor with the flexibility of a gas engine. Drivers can charge the Clarity for daily driving or fill up the Clarity for longer trips where the gas engine is more convenient. Clarity was designed to be as aerodynamic as possible while maintaining a sophisticated and modern look. It is mainly composed of eco-friendly materials and is spacious and comfortable for all passengers.
