The renewed Kia Sportage will feature an EcoDynamic+ micro-hybrid system associated with a Diesel engine. The 48V electrification contributes to reducing emissions and consumption. In this regard, the brand also opted to replace the previous 1.7 CRDi engine with the 1.6 CRDi 'U3', which stands out for being the "cleanest" diesel engine that KIA has ever made. The design was revised and the security technologies represent a key point in the model's update strategy.
The new Kia Sportage's concept is to focus information on the driver, in an interior that has been conceived and designed specifically for the European market. It is the first time in the Kia Sportage's three decades of existence that the SUV has seen an interior designed for the European user. The concept puts the driver in the spotlight and so has a state-of-the-art curved display integrated with high-definition driving and entertainment functions.
