Smart EQ Forfour
Sustainable energy
Like the fortwo, the Smart forfour EQ, exclusively electric, uses an electric motor with 82 hp and 160 Nm of torque.
The forfour's battery has the same capacity of 17.6 kWh as the Smart fortwo and advertises a range of 130 km.
It comes with a 7.2 kW on-board charger, but there is a 22 kW charger as an option. The standard charger allows you to charge the battery from 0 to 80% in 6 hours, using a 2.3 kW socket.
There are two optional wallboxes, one of which can charge from 0 to 80% in 3h30 with the standard charger. The second is designed for the optional 22 kW on-board charger and charges from 0 to 80% in just 45 minutes.
The ForFour version, i.e. the four-door model, presents novelties in terms of design, betting on a more mature image, with pronounced and robust mudguards, front and rear sections with reduced projections and the possibility of customizing the look.
Benefiting from a 60 kW (82 hp) electric motor, 160 Nm of torque and an automatic gearbox, the Smart ForFour EQ has remarkable dynamism and acceleration that allows it to reach a top speed of 130 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 12.7s.
Interior
Upon entering the passenger compartment of the new Smart ForFour EQ, we notice that the center console has been redesigned and there is a new infotainment system with an 8-inch central screen that was designed to be integrated with the driver's smartphone to carry out the most diverse tasks.
The front seats of the ForFour are very comfortable and have an integrated headrest. Furthermore, finding a comfortable driving position is easy.
In the rear seats, the ForFour has less space, but enough for small daily trips, such as taking the kids to school or commuting from home to work.
