At the heart of this new model is the latest generation of Toyota's PHV technology. The capacity of the lithium-ion battery, located under the luggage compartment, doubled from 4.4 to 8.8 kWh, and the range in 100% electric mode increased by the same amount: from 25 km to 50 km. A significant leap that allows relegating the combustion engine to the background – it is possible to carry out day-to-day journeys exclusively in electric mode.
If there were any doubts, the Toyota Prius Plug-in is indeed a model tailored for the urban jungle. It promotes smooth, progressive and silent driving, with no emissions and fuel consumption – in 100% electric mode, of course. Driving position is good
Interior
Inside, the Prius Plug-in does not compromise on its modern and bold style. The 8-inch touchscreen focuses all attention on itself and allows access to the usual navigation, entertainment and connectivity systems.
Graphics relating to Toyota's PHV technology can be consulted on another display on the dashboard, consisting of two 4.2-inch TFT screens arranged horizontally. The Prius Plug-in also has a wireless charging station for smartphones.
