Volkswagen Golf GTE
Sustainable energy
When combined, the electric motor and combustion engine accelerate the Golf GTE from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds – and up to a temporary top speed of 225 km/h. In doing so, they deliver power of up to 180 kW (245 hp) and generate an incredible torque of up to 400 Nm. In addition to the three intuitive hybrid driving modes, the pure electric "e-mode" is ideal for urban centers - and can be used for distances of up to 62 km (NEDC). Once you get back home, you can recharge the electric motor's battery in no more than 5 hours using a conventional socket. With the optional Wallbox or at a public charging station, including the optional Mode 3 Type 2 charging cable, the battery can reach a full charge in just 3 hours and 40 minutes.
Agility and aerodynamics - the Plug-in Golf GTE hybrid not only internalizes these values, but also displays them on its exterior. These values are also demonstrated by the blue stripe, alluding to the fact that it is a plug-in hybrid, which extends across the entire front from the Volkswagen emblem to the dynamic design of the LED headlights. Being a GTE, you don't have to hide the exhaust pipes, although behind the chrome diffuser is still a good position. That's because when you combine the impressive clusters of LED lights with the roof spoiler, the whole rear has an extra bold impact.
Interior
All components inside the Golf GTE are carefully matched to each other to give the vehicle a distinctly sporty look. This starts with the stainless steel pedals and extends to the decorative inserts and seams on the trims and seats all the way to the headlining in black. LED backlighting adds points of light in all the right places. And you'll soon notice, too, that the digital future has arrived inside your Golf GTE. These features are dominated by high-resolution screens and most functions, such as the radio, air conditioning system and lighting, can be operated via touch-sensitive surfaces and sliders.
