BMW X5 xDrive45e

Sustainable energy

With six cylinders in line specially prepared to receive the latest developments in TwinPower Turbo and eDrive technologies, the BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance begins by announcing an increase in combined power to 394 hp, compared to the “measly” 311 hp achieved by its predecessor.
This argument, along with a maximum torque of 600 Nm, makes the German Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) able, among other arguments, to reach a top speed of 235 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 ,6 seconds.

The fourth generation of eDrive technology uses a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine producing 286 hp and an electric motor with 113 hp, coupled to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. Accounts made, the system delivers 394 hp and a torque of 600 Nm. All-wheel drive is achieved through the latest development of the xDrive system (torque transferred to all four wheels whether in electric or hybrid mode).

Interior

Inside, the steering wheel is different and the eDrive plates explain everything. The luggage compartment is 150 liters smaller than that of a “normal” X5, due to the lithium-ion battery pack that does not fit anywhere else. Thus, with the seats in their position, the trunk has a capacity of 500 liters, with the seats folded down, 1716 liters.
