Jeep Renegade 4xe

Sustainable energy

The Trailhawk version of the Renegade4xe uses a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol block with 180 hp, which is associated with two electric motors: one at the front, which only serves as a generator / alternator, and a second installed on the rear axle, with 60 hp, which integrates a reduction box and differential (e-axle). The combined power is 240 hp and the maximum torque is 533 Nm. In terms of performance, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 7.1 seconds and the maximum speed in hybrid mode is 200 km/h.

The Renegade 4xe has a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 11.4 kWh, which powers the “e-axle”, allowing for a range in electric mode of up to 53 kilometers on a WLTP cycle.

In the process of Jeep's transition to a fully electric range, combustion vehicles will be gradually replaced by plug-in hybrids. The Renegade compact SUV is one of the first models to be electrified and offers an average range of 50 km in an urban environment. The Trailhawk is one of the versions of the range, distinguished by its complete equipment, the dynamic performance ensured by the 240 hp of the propulsion group

Interior

The Renegade offers reasonable room for four adults, which is mainly due to a wheelbase of 2.57 meters. More limited is the luggage compartment capacity of only 330 liters, penalized by the placement of the battery under the back seat and bottom where the charging cables can be stored. The interior's design remains faithful to the brand's recognized values and is characterized by its simplicity, both in terms of lines and materials. On the dashboard, dark hard plastics dominate, which are easily scratched and, in the long run, are sources of noise.
