Kia Niro

Sustainable energy

With the Kia Niro HEV, we continue to have a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine (which works according to the most efficient Atkinson cycle) that delivers 105 horsepower and 147 Nm; and with an electric motor with 44 hp and 170 Nm of torque that is powered by a set of 1.56 kWh lithium-ion batteries. The result is 141 hp of combined power and 265 Nm of maximum combined torque, which is transmitted to the front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The years don't seem to pass by the Niro HEV and the truth is that the South Korean model continues to stand out as a competitive option, even four years after its launch, mainly due to the new interior, with a more current and appealing design, and also to the new, simpler, and more attractive infotainment system.

Well built, spacious for passengers — not so much for luggage —, well equipped, economical and with the “fashionable format”, the Kia Niro HEV continues to be an option to take into account, especially for those who mostly travel in urban areas during their journey. week, but does not give up longer trips on the weekend.

Interior

The Niro follows the standards that Kia has accustomed us to in recent years, featuring excellent robustness and materials that are pleasant to the touch and to the eye, precisely in the areas where the hands and eyes walk the most. As for infotainment, it already has the new UVO system consisting of a 10.25″ touchscreen, which we already knew from the Kia XCeed. This one turned out to be complete, with good graphics and, above all, easier to use than the previous one.
